摘要: This chapter aims to give an overview of how optimize the performance nanoplasmonic sensors. Specific biosensing challenges beyond capability current sensors will be discussed. Various methods improve sensor then introduced, including solving issues related surface chemistry. We distinguish concept signal enhancement, which is choice nanostructure and functionalization, from noise minimization, spectroscopy techniques employed. The concepts bulk sensitivity, figure merit, performance, their relation detection limit are discussed in detail.
