The distribution of gastritis in carcinoma of the stomach

摘要: Twenty-one stomachs resected for carcinoma were studied histologically using the Swiss-roll' technique. Chronic gastritis with epithelial hyperplasia was present in all. There two types of distribution gastritis. In 17 instances it extended continuously from pylorus proximally up to or beyond carcinoma. This type could be due reflux duodenal contents into stomach. 4 occurred only vicinity tumour but did not extend and therefore result reflux. It is postulated that there may kinds One associated chronic gastritis, possibly resulting stomach, The other also does suggest reflux.
