摘要: To examine recent changes in longevity and the causes of death among persons with hemophilia A, we evaluated certificate data for who died United States from 1968 through 1989 had A or congenital Factor VIII disorder (ICD code 286.0) listed on as one multiple death. Multiple-cause-of-death mortality to were examined compare rates by year, focusing 1979-1981, 1983-1985, 1987-1989. Gender, age group, race, geographic region, median at human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-related disease a cause compared those without HIV-related disease. From 1989, 2,792 deaths reported. The rate increased 0.5 1.3 per 1,000,000 persons. 1979-1981 1987-1989, all groups above 9 years shifted markedly lower ages. Median decreased 57 40 percentage due hemorrhage diseases circulatory system result increase associated HIV infection infections other than infection. Spread HIV-1 has disrupted reduction seen factor replacement therapy, implementation home care, use comprehensive treatment centers. It is hoped that advances care HIV-infected will improve survival community. © 1994 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
