摘要: "White lesions" of the oral mucosa often present problems differential diagnosis, which are primary importance when assessing precancerous changes in mouth. The character leukoplakia is well established, and "high-risk" type: erosive-dysplastic greater malignant potential, has been thoroughly investigated. Because their possible association with carcinoma, some clinical types lichen planus, namely, atrophic erosive forms, indicate caution treatment supervision. Epithelial dysplasia associated candidiasis discoid lupus erythematosus, but neither these, nor such other white lesions as sponge naevus or morsicatio buccarum, considered to be preneoplastic. All these may clearly identified, differentiated, circumscribed clinico-pathological disease-entities, by clinical, histopathological ultrastructural methods, thus facilitating early prevention malignancy.
