摘要: The growing recognition of the burden neurologic disease associated with HIV infection in last decade has led to renewed efforts characterize pathophysiology virus within central nervous system (CNS). concept AIDS-dementia complex is now better understood as a spectrum HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND), which range from asymptomatic severe impairment. Recent work shown that even optimally treated patients can experience not only persistent HAND, but also development new abnormalities despite viral suppression. This thrown into question what impact antiretroviral therapy been on incidence and prevalence dysfunction. In this context, few years have seen concentrated effort identify effects manifestations develop therapeutic modalities might specifically alter trajectory CNS.
