摘要: Surgical resection has been the standard treatment for gastric carcinoma. However, more than half of all patients with this disease are not surgical candidates because direct extension or regional metastases. Radiotherapy, often in conjunction chemotherapy, used to palliate dysphagia and pain these locally advanced tumors. Even successfully undergoing total excision apparent tumor, local-regional recurrence continues be a major cause death. Recently, adjuvant postoperative radiotherapy chemotherapy reduce failure high-risk patients. Despite use modern megavoltage radiotherapy, normal tissue tolerance still limits radiation dose that can given safely.
