摘要: Abstract Following initial “curative” operative procedures for gastric carcinoma, 107 patients had planned single or multiple re-operations at the University of Minnesota. Later evidence cancer was found in 86 re-operation and/or other follow-up. Initial operative-pathologic extent disease correlated with incidence and patterns failure. Distant metastasis (DM) alone uncommon, but as a new component 25.6 °k failure group. Nearly half peritoneal failures (PS) were localized, when diffuse, usually accompanied by moderate sized local-regional Local recurrence regional lymph node (LF-RF) occurred only 53.7% group if localized included, any 87.8% (67.3% total patients). Operation yields inadequate results majority carcinoma. The rationale adjuvant radiation systemic therapy combination is discussed.
