摘要: The invention provides methods for identification and determination of target-specific sites in peptides proteins, including a method determining the primary sequence secondary structure within known parent polypeptide that binds to target interest. In one embodiment invention, residue or mimetic containing nitrogen atom sulfur available binding metal ion is serially substituted single residues inserted between adjacent peptide protein. resulting complexed with thereby forming metallopeptide. metallopeptides are then used functional assays related interest, metallopeptide(s) which result significant substantially decreased changed functionality determined identify involved such functionality.
