摘要: For the diagnosis and follow-up of paracoccidioidomycosis patients undergoing therapy, we evaluated two methods (immunoblotting competition enzyme immunoassay) for detection circulating antigen in urine samples. A complex pattern reactivity was observed immunoblot test. Bands 70 43 kDa were detected more often samples from before treatment. The method gp43 gp70 separately or concurrently 11 (91.7%) 12 patients, whereas immunoassay antigenuria 9 (75%) patients. Both tests appeared to be highly specific (100%), considering that neither fraction detectable by immunoblotting present control group. remained collected during treatment period, with a significant decrease clinical recovery increased relapses. Reactivity some bands also specimens “apparent cure.” Paracoccidioides brasiliensis antigens appears promising diagnosing infection, evaluating efficacy treatment, detecting relapse.
