摘要: ▪ Abstract Official conservation efforts for the northern spotted owl began in United States 1975 when it was declared “threatened” state of Oregon; continued a sporadic and unsystematic way through 1980s. In 1989 Interagency Scientific Committee (ISC) established by Congress charged with development scientifically defensible strategy covering entire range owl, which includes parts states Oregon, Washington, California. The ISC collated all research approached questions concerning need efficacy potential reserve designs as testable hypotheses. Because hypothesis tests were based on incomplete data highly stylized population models, uncertainty conclusions remained.
