摘要: Within the research area of “interactive narration”, production process constitutes a decisive bottleneck. Currently this bottleneck constricts progress field, since peculiarities demand that applications must be actually built in order to concretize ideas and test technologies. Purely theoretical considerations are not sufficient, given requirements can only clarified during process. Methods software environments have been lacking could em-ployed rapidly implement iteratively enhance related interactive narration, so iterative would encompass authoring tools, application design ideas, requisite technolo-gies. Taking need as point departure, work presented here demon-strates first generic framework for creation narratives with virtual characters, strong focus on visual methods. The consists complete functional envi-ronment has already proven its efficacy generality within variety projects. As basis framework, novel hybrid formalism was developed. It enables various ways combining directed graphs algorithmic control With combination, development team employ graph main put use immediately, add other mechanisms partially incrementally required progressing implementation ideas. Using graph, which is fairly easy manage, basic structure, it possible guarantee additional technologies employed respond precisely content. In way, described computer scientists, domain experts content creators together create novel, often experimental applications. particularly suited systems rely set fixed elements or templates, where effort centered question how determine sequence ele-ments. A series narrative also dissertation, patterns employing them; demonstrates aptness task, concretizes certain hypotheses I developed why interactivity combined narration. Further on, dissertation presents model an shall allow concrete autonom-ous characters. No alternative models currently exist authors even details behaviors autonomous assumed character at most parameterized abstractly. shows characters authored, spite their autonomy. based concept “endorsed stories”, contains components learning algorithms.
