Dermatite cercariana por esquistossomatídeos de aves: É possível a ocorrência de casos no Brasil?

摘要: Cercarial dermatitis caused by avian schistosomes larvae is considered an emerging disease. Although no case has so far been reported in human beings Brazil, these trematodes have already found birds, and the potential intermediate hosts (mollusks) are widely distributed country. Considering difficulty of clinical differential diagnosis with Schistosoma mansoni, it possible that cases being underdiagnosed. Aspects regarding identification transmission foci, survey cercariae aquatic mollusks, symptoms to be verified examination, treatment, prophylaxis for disease discussed. Efforts diagnose this increase knowledge about occurrence parasites Brazil needed.
