摘要: In the process of opencast mining, several changes occur in physical, chemical, and microbiological properties soil as a result mining storage. Inability to preserve topsoil is one basic hindrances restoration mined land. The acute problem preserving mine discussed. Every year large areas are continually becoming unfertile spite efforts grow vegetation on degraded land One coal project Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (ECL) investigated assess deterioration due stripping stockpiling. Different age classes dumps identified for study. Mine characteristics compared with those unmined analyzed critically evaluate respect time quality were found be drastic first deteriorating every year, ultimately became unfertile.
