摘要: Changes in tonic accommodation and vergence were monitored before, during immediately after a 45 min period of reading adult level text displayed on either computer monitor or hard copy at 20 cm under binocular viewing conditions. Both gradually increased the period, with changes occurring more rapidly. The average increases following 0.35 dioptres 0.38 metre angles, respectively. Decay both components to baseline light total darkness occurred within first 3 min. These results suggest that moderate interrupted close distance can produce transient increase oculomotor levels.
