摘要: D NA barcoding has been the focus of numerous publications, but only limited studies are available for marine macroalgae and even less specific to Phaeophyceae. The case study presented here assesses potential five different markers use as DNA barcodes in genus Sargassum :t he nuclear ITS-2, ap ortion chloroplastic RubisCO operon am itochondrial spacer (mtsp), COI cox3. To assess compare identi- fication success we used three criteria based on distance methods: Best Match, Close Match All Species Barcodes applied datasets representing 13 closely related species subgenus .R esults demonstrated inad- equacy ITS-2 barcode while they suggested mitochondrial markers. Additional research is needed numerically geogra- phically larger further identification these / cox 3/C OI /m /p artial /b arcoding /B est /A ll
