摘要: Abstract Incubations of acrolein and closely related compounds with calf serum resorcinol, under defined conditions, yield fluorescence, a phenomenon previously observed with, thought to be specific for, spermine spermidine. The spectral characteristics the fluorescences obtained enzymically oxidized polyamines are markedly similar. However, fluorescence does not require enzyme beef plasma amine-oxidase (spermine-oxidase) since it can produced in presence either or horse serum. Fluorescence was also by substituting reaction involving several amino compounds, putrescine being one most effective. Isolation fluorescent fraction (F.F.) from this latter incubation appears have been achieved, its relative quantum efficiencies (φ) were calculated, i.e., F.F. φ = 0.26 0.05 N HCl 0.49 0.1 NaOH (by reference quinine bisulfate).
