摘要: Abstract A cell inhibitory, nitrogen-free aldehyde has been isolated, by distillation, from incubated mixtures of spermine, spermidine, or allylamine with unfractionated calf serum. This was identified as acrolein its ultraviolet and infrared spectra, melting point determinations, elemental analysis 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone derivative. The inhibitory activity (ID50, S-180 in culture = 2.6–3.5 × 10−5 mmole/ml) comparable to that but contrast the latter, did not depend on concomitant presence plasma amine oxidase.
