摘要: Double-stranded DNA bacteriophage PRD1 infects a variety of gram-negative bacteria harboring an IncP-type conjugative plasmid. The plasmid codes for the transfer phage receptor complex in cell envelope. Our goal was, by using collection mutant particles which variables are content and/or presence receptor-binding protein, to obtain information on energy requirements entry as well alterations cellular energetics taking place during first stages infection. We studied fluxes tetraphenylphosphonium (TPP+), phenyldicarbaundecaborane (PCB-), and K+ ions ATP through envelope Salmonella typhimurium cells. final level membrane voltage (delta psi) indicator TPP+ accumulated infected cells exceeds initial before Besides effects accumulation, induces leakage from cytosol. All these events were induced only DNA-containing infectious delta psi dependent. PRD1-caused changes PCB- binding differ considerably those observed other infections studied. These results accordance with specific channel engaged transport.
