摘要: Proteinases are known to be capable of prolonging the survival endoparasites in a host. We were therefore interested knowing whether immunization lambs against proteasome (multisubunit proteinases) preparation obtained from Trichostrongylus colubriformis infective third-stage larvae (L3) would have any effect on immune response single challenge infection with same organism. A total 21 penned aged 8 months divided into 3 equal groups. Group 1 was immunized three occasions increasing amounts proteasome-enriched fraction L3. 2 given similar amount protein initial supernatant homogenized larvae. (controls) received adjuvant plus saline solution only. All groups challenged 60,000 T. at 28 days after last immunization. Significant protection only when extract used immunize lambs. The seemed immunosuppressive effects through stimulation nonspecific IgE production. Significantly lower levels specific observed fraction, and IgG antibodies increased. suggest that fractions may serve as useful preparations for study mechanisms production parasitized sheep.
