摘要: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians (hereafter respectfully Indigenous Australians) claim that they have been over-researched without corresponding research benefit. This raises two questions. The first, which has covered to some extent in the literature, is about what type(s) of are likely achieve benefits for people. second how researchers report impact their systematic review health reviews addresses enquiry. Fourteen electronic databases were systematically searched met eligibility criteria. Two reviewers assessed characteristics methodological rigour using an a priori protocol. Three hypotheses stated tested: (1) address priority needs; (2) adopt best practice guidelines on conduct reporting respect transparency rigour, as well acceptability appropriateness implementation people; (3) explicitly incremental impacts included studies translation research. We argue if authors each these three hypotheses, then peoples’ would be explicated. Seventy-six included; comprising 55 journal articles 21 Australian Government commissioned evidence reports. While gaining prominence recognition increasing number, breadth complexity, there little finding questions relevance people, policy commissioned, reported evaluated. findings our study serve main purposes. First, we identified knowledge gaps documenting can addressed by makers. Second, provide justification developing framework allowing funding bodies structure future improve assessment over time.
