摘要: Abstract Grid-connected microgrids (MG) can offer significant benefits to electricity systems by improving the security of energy supply with clean renewable sources. Unlocking these requires designing suitable business models that capture value MGs and help removing barriers their uptake. In this work, we evaluate profitability self-sufficiency optimally designed for new proposed models. The are tested in seventeen different geographical locations which a vast diversity resources, seasonal climatic variability tariffs. Both Net Billing Metering schemes tested, both single-dwelling community residential customers. Electricity tariffs include volumetric peak demand charges. We model optimal sizing management minimizing total customer costs. generation mix is result bilevel optimization take into account resources costs, diesel prices potentially be comprised solar PV, wind generation, together battery storage response resources. find levels based on sources across country, also power some specific locations. model, case includes charges, generally more profitable than single-dwellings. This shows effective at reducing charge bill. therefore recommend further promotion arrangements as key way improve current very slow uptake distributed developing countries.
