摘要: This paper describes the prevalence of brain lesions in Swiss fallen stock population small ruminants. 3075 whole brains (75% sheep, 25% goats) were collected as part a year-long active survey transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) ruminants conducted by authorities between July 2004 and 2005. All systematically examined histopathology to obtain reliable data on histologically identifiable lesions. Lesions found an unexpectedly high number animals (8.1% all brains).
