PATTERNS OF VARIATIONS IN THE WATER AND SEDIMENT FLUXES FROM THE CHANGJIANG RIVER TO THE ESTUARY

摘要: According to the field measurements of runoff and sediment at Datong hydrological station in period from 1950 1985, a statistical approach is applied study seasonal yearly variations water fluxes estUary their relationship. The result shows that: (1) an apparent variation exists, especially suspended flux; (2) flood years seldom occur succession 75% dry takes place every two years, (3) recurrence interval high happens once year or 2-3 while that low basically three (4) there relatively poor correlation between fluxes. Moreover, almost no fine grained flux flux.
