摘要: Hormone and substrate responses to mild heavy treadmill exercise were compared in women who used oral contraceptives (OC group; n = 7) normally menstruating (control 8). Venous blood samples obtained before (-5 min), during (15, 30, 45, 60 30 min after exercise. All analyzed for glucose, lactate, free fatty acids (FFA), glycerol, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing (LH), human growth (hGH), cortisol, insulin, estradiol (E2), progesterone (P). Substrate patterns not altered by the phase of menstrual cycle or OC usage. However, group FFA concentrations consistently higher glucose lower at rest than control (P less 0.05). No differences lactate glycerol observed between groups greater The insulin hGH related use per se but rather steroid status, either endogenous exogenous. Specifically, phases luteal phase) 1) quite as markedly reduced (i.e., 12% when usage data combined; P 0.05), 2) light LH affected a slight decrease was found FSH Increments E2 both follicular much increments occurred In contrast group, no P, E2, cortisol users Therefore new observations this study are that respond complex manner with disuse (P, cortisol) increased controls latter point suggests normal due an rate secretion hepatic clearance these steroids.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)
