摘要: This paper addresses intersections of communication, technology and geography in remote areas Western Australia. It uses verbatim accounts from fieldwork bracketing decades communication development to explore changes constants the micro-geographical exchange strategies people living northwest articulates continuing irony that Australians who most need reliable effective communications are those experience greatest difficulty accessing them. We contend geographical isolation problems with reliability reach technologies Australia have cultivated a robust community which flexibility, resilience interdependence redress, some degree, vulnerability communities often experience—especially times stress or crisis.
