摘要: Abstract: Purpose – This paper seeks to examine how perception of the relationship between people and sources information influence hazard preparedness trust in civic emergency planning agencies responsible for risk communication influences decisions. It aims hypothesize that: familiarity with about hazards predicts relative importance trust; that levels are influenced by community characteristics. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional analysis was conducted. Hypotheses were tested using data on bushfire, volcanic earthquake hazards. Data analysed multiple regression analyses. Findings The first hypothesis, situational factors predict trust, supported. Partial support forthcoming second hypothesis. Collective problem solving empowerment predicted trust.
