摘要: The authors have investigated CO band emissions arising from the dissociative recombination of HCO+ and HOC+ ions with thermal electrons in a flowing afterglow plasma. quantitative analysis intensities showed that forms long-lived CO(aΠ3) state yield 0.23±0.12, while favors formation CO(a′Σ+3) CO(dΔ3) combined greater than 0.4. observed vibrational distribution for CO(a) reproduces theoretical predictions quite well. distributions CO(a′) CO(d) are, part, inverted, presumably as consequence change equilibrium bond length during recombination. observations are compatible current knowledge potential surfaces states HCO HCO+.
