摘要: Although anemia during pregnancy is common in the USA, socio-demographic factors make pregnant women enrolled Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program more vulnerable than general population. The purpose of this study was to examine characteristics, blood hemoglobin concentrations, nutrition knowledge potential associations among these a sample participating WIC program.,A cross-sectional using survey methodology conducted. In total, 60 who were between 12 24 weeks gestation carrying single fetus recruited from two clinics. Overall assessed with 42 questions arranged into three subscales. Participants’ scores transformed tertiles. records used record values. Principal component analysis validate Correlational multivariate regression analyses conducted relationship variables.,Prevalence participants higher national averages. Only 10 per cent scored high tertile for knowledge. Anemia-during-pregnancy score positively correlated concentrations (r = 0.23, p < 0.05), it also predictor levels (R2 0.364, 0.02).,This first report on anemia, preventive measures program.
