摘要: In addition to biochemical factors, hemodynamic factors that are governed by lumenal geometry and blood flow rates likely play an important role in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease. Numerous computational experimental studies indicated correlation certain parameters with initiation progression atherosclerotic plaques, while variables possibly affecting aneurysmal disease still disputed. This chapter presents a review publications on current state art for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods used patient-specific modeling. Typical modeling assumptions boundary conditions described discussed as well some post-processing visualization techniques. It is hoped advances medical imaging numerical methods, will evolve into clinical tool providing guidance treatment patient-by-patient basis.
