摘要: The paper deals wi th the history of development l i q u d metal magnetohydrodynamic power conversion systems from inception this concept in late 1950s up to present time. Different cycles and are reviewed analyzed chronological sequence. last sections dedicated a new MHD cal led OMACON (optimized system) that has been developed during few years. Prel iminary results appl ica t ion studies presented indicate essential advantages regarding at tainable eff iciencies .
