Near-peer teaching in osteopathy clinical education

摘要: Abstract Osteopathy students learning in university clinics forms a substantial portion of the Australian students' clinical education program activities and within them, junior are encouraged to observe more senior during their consultations with patients. This is near-peer teaching. However, scholarly analysis this component osteopathy underrepresented literature. For that reason, commentary describes underpinning educational theory how used context. Some challenges opportunities approach discussed. Near-peer has ability enhance education, strengthen notion community learning, also develop student's educate others - potentially developing future educators. Research into health professions its infancy worldwide therefore presents an opportunity for teaching institutions not only evaluate use, but contribute ongoing discourse.
