摘要: To test the hypothesis that mortality of bacterial gill disease (BGD) is related to tissue hypoxia, changes in glycogen, pyruvate and lactate concentrations muscle juvenile rainbow trout with BGD were determined. The levels glycogen fish infected experimentally Flavobacterium sp. 7721 (ATCC 35035) showed a progressive decline following infection. This was interpreted as reflection fact listless did not take food. Muscle concentration reached lowest values, 78.6±27.0 mg%, when experimental began turn sideways, then rised 133.0±57.7mg%until they died. increase lactate/pyruvate ratio (L/P ratio) at time death more significant than lactate. appeared reflect accumulation “excess lactate” muscle. We concluded breakdown gas exchange gills caused failure circulation provide oxygen enough remove excess from muscle, even though level so high healthy fish.
