摘要: Background: Accessible public information on self-reported height and weight is not widely used in studies of obesity, mainly because the questionable validity body mass index (BMI) values calculated from these data. To assess utility measurement, we compared standard measurements a Korean population that leaner than Western populations.Methods: A cross-sectional comparison measured was conducted among participants cancer screening program. total 557 men 1010 women aged 30 to 70 years were included current analysis.Results: Self-reported higher both women. women, but different men. BMI derived Younger age predictor accuracy height, predictors under-reporting weight. The prevalence obesity based lower true obesity. With respect classifying individuals as obese, specificity sensitivity very high for sexes.Conclusions: reasonably valid this study population.
