摘要: Numerous studies reported that sleep deprivation (SD) causes impairment in spatial cognitive performance. However, the molecular mechanisms affected by SD underlying this behavioral phenomenon remain elusive. Here, we focused on entorhinal cortex (EC), gateway of hippocampus, and investigated how subunit expression AMPARs NMDARs, main ionotropic glutamategic receptors serving a pivotal role cognition. In EC, found 4h remarkably reduced surface GluA1, while there was an increase GluA2 GluA3. As for with short duration significantly levels GluN1 GluN2B without effect GluN2A. parallel alterations impaired rat reference memory as assessed Morris water maze task. Overall, these data indicate brief differently affects AMPAR NMDAR expressions EC might consequently disrupt composition functional properties receptors.
