摘要: Insulin is one of the hormonal regulators leptin synthesis and participates in adipose tissue maintenance. The present study was undertaken to clarify association endogenous insulin secretion mode therapy with body fat serum levels diabetic subjects. We measured fasting C-peptide level, as an estimate secretion, level 176 Japanese subjects (79 men 97 women; age, 55.9+/-14.3 years; mass index [BMI], 23.8+/-4.1 kg/m2 [mean+/-SD]). Thirty-one were treated diet alone, 66 sulfonylurea (SU), 79 (including 29 type I diabetes mellitus). Body analyzed by impedance method. Serum significantly correlated BMI higher women, mainly because their greater fat. concentrations positively SU. In insulin-treated II subjects, both daily dose weakly associated leptin. those despite a lower percent mass, (10.3+/-8.4 ng/mL) comparable (8.8+/-8.5 ng/mL). When compared within same groups (BMI 20 25 > kg/m2) including control matched for age sex, versus patients or Stepwise regression analysis all showed that exogenous administration, well BMI, gender, determinants level. conclusion, closely are leptin, which maintained at somewhat than without insulin.
