摘要: Abstract The aim of the present study was to investigate association serum adiponectin concentration with regional adiposity and insulin resistance in subjects type 2 diabetes mellitus. A total 73 Japanese men (aged 59 ± 11 years body mass index [BMI] 23.8 3.0 kg/m , mean SD) were studied. Fasting leptin concentrations determined by radioimmunoassay. Regional measured abdominal computed tomography (CT) at umbilical level, estimated homeostasis model assessment (HOMA-R). Univariate regression analysis showed that levels negatively correlated subcutaneous visceral fat areas. With multivariate analysis, area a predominant determinant levels.
