摘要: Intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) resulting in a reduced number of nephrons is one the nonimmune mechanisms that have been recently proposed as contributing to progression renal diseases. The purpose our study was determine whether IUGR has any effect on clinical course and prognosis IgA glomerulonephritis (IgA GN) children. Fifty children with biopsy-proven GN, who were followed for at least 3 years, included. Six 50 (12%) had signs birth, defined birth weight below 10th percentile gestational age. There no significant differences initial presentation between those without IUGR. However, kidney biopsy specimens, we found significantly higher mean percentage sclerotic glomeruli than (33 vs. 13%, p < 0.015). At end follow-up period, observed incidence arterial hypertension (50 11%, 0.05). Other two groups not statistically significant. In conclusion, demonstrated an increased risk development glomerulosclerosis GN suffered from may therefore help identify early are unfavorable course.
