摘要: Summary Research has shown that individuals tend retrospectively to overestimate the degree which they expected certain events occur. Previous explanations of this phenomenon have focused on their inability reconstruct prior probabilities once outcome an event is known. The present study examined possible roles motives maintain one's self-esteem or appear well others in producing effect. Ss (51 males, 42 females) classified as either high low ego-involvement regarding knowledge football were asked pregame, under public anonymous conditions, predict score a game, postgame, same indicate what would predicted be.
