摘要: Abstract Typical extended end-plate connections used in moment resisting steel frames with Hollow Structural Section (HSS) columns will generally exhibit a certain degree c f flexibility. The actual response of such cannot be realistically assessed, unless the connection flexibility is incorporated analysis. This requires development moment-rotation relationships capable representing response. objective this work to develop an analytical model for simulating its behaviour terms relationship, so that it can determination overall frame evaluates main parameters as initial stiffness and plastic capacity on basis few secondary obtained from test results. HSS' column flange modelled both tension compression sides because major contribution connection's rotation. accuracy was examined by comparing results experimental measurements. It found predicts rotation reasonable at different levels loading. A numerical example provided illustrate how applied design..
