Critical analysis of methodological quality of systematic reviews and meta-analysis of antibiotics in third molar surgeries using AMSTAR 2.

摘要: The clinicians usually prescribe antibiotics to reduce post-operative complications during third molar surgeries. However, in the absence of clear conclusions regarding use surgeries, present systematic review was planned assess quality reviews evaluating efficiency reducing complications. literature search done Cochrane Library, Central Register Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), PUBMED, EMBASE, and Google scholar. Systematic published English period from January 1990 December 2019 were included. maxillary mandibular molars indicated for extraction either because infection, orthodontic or prophylactic reasons From 526 screened studies, thirteen qualified qualitative analysis. qualities included evaluated using AMSTAR 2 tool. also based on number authors, geographic region, impact factor journal, year publication, citations each review. One high quality, eight moderate three low one critically low-quality observed No statistically significant difference between upon analysis Considering observations form moderate-quality reviews, concludes that effectively aid frequency observation dry socket.
