摘要: Abstract Analyses are presented using both experimental and simulation data for nanoparticle diffusion mobility in gases. These analyses show that it is important to include the diameter of bath gas when calculating effective cross sections, if simple dependencies desired. This can be especially analyzing nanoparticles where accurate values difficult obtain. In particular, we there little evidence a transition from specular diffuse nature scattering nanoparticles. The accuracy Stokes–Millikan equation, commonly used fit data, tested hard sphere found give good predictions, albeit with different parameters than typically data. addition, new empirical formula, introduced by us previously was against adequate. One strength this formula its explicit inclusion experimentally determined quantities reduced number adjustable parameters. Its predictions most intermediate large Knudsen numbers, practice systems.
