摘要: During the evolution of Alpine fold belt in North Africa, important deformations occurred within African plate. Precambrian/Palaeozoic fracture systems were reactivated as four major lineaments with trends close to East–West (from Guinea Africa Nubik Province, Central Africa) and also north–south megashears between 2° 6° E. Magmatic activity, part attributed folding, expressed chains or roots volcanoes alkaline affinities, are considered be related fault especially Cameroon Mamfe basins. In Benue Trough an intracontinental chain abundant igneous intrusions can correlated opening Atlantic near Gulf Guinea. Intraplate deformation is linked six periods tectonic activity identified Lias, Aptian, Santonian, End Cretaceous, Upper Eocene, Miocene. From Aptian onwards, stress regime remained relatively constant. Intraplate a consequence both plate collision Europe Atlantic.
