摘要: Abstract In this paper investigations regarding optimal placement and duty distribution of internal heat exchangers in distillation columns have been carried out based on simulations. particular the effect adding 2, 4 19 to a tray column separating 2-propanol methanol was studied. It is concluded that minimum entropy production depends strongly degree separation. The optimum however rather flat, which indicates for nominal operating point may remain nearly terms even significant changes feed product compositions. When compared conventional run under same conditions, an optimally with four thermally active stages (4TA) reduced by 25% as 37% six (6TA) 49% all trays are equipped exchangers.
