摘要: Genotypes differing in endogenous abscisic acid (ABA) content are valuable for studying the influence of ABA on plant processes and development. ABA-deficient mutants known a number monocotyledonous dicotyledonous species and, several cereals, varietal differences drought-induced accumulation have been identified. These can sometimes be magnified by crossing selection. However, nature any genetic modifications resulting levels needs to established before genotypes varying compared assess unequivocally consequences modified production. Ideally variation should restricted genes modifying only level itself. Otherwise, complications will arise due pleiotropic effects which not related or caused closely-linked genes. Nevertheless, these variants give good corroborative evidence that affects many physiological processes, including stomatal control, dormancy germination, vegetative reproductive growth
