Surface Energy of Silica-TEOS-PDMS Ormosils

摘要: Inverse gas chromatography (IGC) was applied to characterize the surface energy of organically modified silicates (ormosils) by measuring interaction molecular organic probes with ormosil surface. Ormosils were prepared sol-gel method reaction TEOS (tetraethoxysilane), PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) and different types silica (Aerosil 130, Aerosil 200 380). The isosteric heat adsorption, q st, dispersive component energy, γs D, estimated using retention volume nonpolar polar at infinite dilution. shows an increase as specific area is increased from 29.6 mJ/m2 51.4 60°C. Such values are lower than that obtained for aerosil particles meaning chains impede silanol groups located on parameter, ISP, enthalpy ΔH a SP, also measured in order obtain acid-base character correlated donor, DN, acceptor, AN, numbers quantify acidic, K A, basic, K B, parameters substrate results suggest covered a way depending type used. K A K B amphoteric, predominantly acceptor electron sites.
