摘要: Abstract Agglutination data from generations 8 through 19 indicate that bidirectional selection for specific SRBC antibody responses was successful in a line cross of ISA x Warren medium heavy layers. After 11 titers the high selected (H line) were nearly 1:32,000; those low (L less than 1:2, but randombred control remained stable at 1:32. Directional also affected levels naturally occurring rabbit cell agglutinating (RRBC), presumably avian form alpha-galactose (anti-Gal). This indirect response biphasic and opposite direction to generation 14 after which anti-Gal all 3 lines increased. At 19, H had highest agglutinin titers; both types, intermediate, L lowest. The correlation between RRBC 0.43 (P = 0.0). Females higher males, difference only significant 0.028). Qualitative changes accompanied selection. Rabbit agglutinins 4 types recognizable: classic, granular, annular, one negative or very weak reaction. score type means highest, lowest, suggesting avidity differences now exist among these lines. results show integration natural acquired immune systems because temporarily other. Given importance primates, our should stimulate further study this poultry species.
