摘要: Abstract The surfactant free cadmium sulfide (CdS) nanospheres were synthesized by the chemical method in a single step. uniform shape of CdS spheres was controlled variation concentration thioacetamide (C2H5NS). cubic phase nanopowder determined from XRD analysis, which closely matched to standard card. spherical grains powder confirmed microstructural analysis. (TAA) played vital role formation nanospheres. bandgap decreased 2.44 2.22 eV as mole C2H5NS increased 0.05 M 2.0 M. FTIR spectra presence stretching bond Cd S. dominant PL peak purely and uniformed observed at 528 nm due S vacancies or surface defects. prepared photocatalyst demonstrated superior visible light photocatalytic degradation methylene blue (MB). highest (96%) MB achieved within 180 min. Therefore, grown step has remarkable enhancement pollutants under irradiation light.
