摘要: Abstract Photocatalysis based on semiconductor quantum dots which utilize the solar energy can be used for elimination of pollutants from aqueous media and applied water purification. Degradation dyes is a standard method to check photocatalytic activity any type photocatalyst. In this paper polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP)-capped ZnS CdS nanoparticles were prepared by simple microwave irradiation studied in detail their visible range. The obtained characterized XRD, TEM, UV–Vis EDX. PVP-capped have average sizes ∼5.1 18.3 nm with cubic hexagonal crystalline structures, respectively. PVP capped exhibited unique property optical absorption region wave length below than 460 nm followed clear long tail up 700 nm showed excellent toward degradation dye under light illumination. was found improved mixing appropriate amount nanoprticles. From study variation weight percentages nanoparticles, physical mixture 20% very efficient methylene blue. case efficiency after 6 h illumination about 81%.
