摘要: Preparing nitrogen-doped (N-doped) photoluminescent carbonaceous nanodots (C-dots) from the recycling/utilisation of nitrogen-rich waste has received considerable research interest. In this work, by using fish scales, an abundant food industry waste, as a starting material, we have developed green, cheap and convenient approach for preparation N-doped C-dots, which represents great potential large-scale production. The as-synthesized C-dots are highly soluble, regularly sphere shaped homogeneously sized with average diameter 2 nm. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results demonstrate that nitrogen content can reach 14.6%, is higher than most reported previously. present narrow photoluminescence emission band (400–490 nm) high quantum yield up to 17%, owing fluorescence enhancement effect doping. Besides, their be sensitively quenched addition hypochlorite (ClO−), making them promising sensing platform ClO−.
