摘要: Abstract Five strains of Shope fibroma virus (SFV), a strain rabbit myxoma virus, and vaccinia were compared by restriction endonuclease digestion their viral DNAs. Restriction digest patterns revealed that SFV myxoma, both members the Leporipoxvirus genus, distinct from vaccinia, an Orthopoxvirus. All examined had high degree nucleotide sequence homology as shown conservation sites within genomes. However, quite different one another suggesting genomes these two viruse genus do not share large, highly conserved region viruses belonging to Orthopoxvirus genus. mapping identified inverted terminal repeats approximately 12 kb in length. fragments representing all but 400 bp termini cloned plasmid vectors.
